MEET TIM HARRIS

I was raised in Bossier City, Louisiana as the middle child of a large family of 5 children. During my high school years, I lettered in both basketball and football. After graduation, I attended college in Florida where I studied Criminal Justice. In 1998 I left Florida to move to Farmington, Missouri where I started my family. God blessed me with 2 sons who were both born in 2001. My firstborn son, Tyler, was eventually diagnosed with cancer and after fighting for his life for many years, passed away in 2013. My second born, Caleb, has found success in life despite living with disabilities and has now reached a giant goal living independently.

In 2010 I met the love of my life, Katie. In 2012 Katie and I were married and permanently blended our families. I have since been blessed to raise Layne and Elizabeth as my own. Layne graduated from West County High School in 2022 and currently works in corrections. Elizabeth is a sophomore in High School and plans to be a teacher, cardiothoracic surgeon or homemaker. Both Layne and Elizabeth legally changed their last names to Harris, and I am currently in the process of legally adopting her.

My  family and I are members of my wife's childhood church, Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Potosi. I am an active member  of the Praise and Worship team where I enjoy playing guitar and singing.

When you’re in Law Enforcement, it’s important to have escapes. My escapes include vacationing and spending time with family, hunting, fishing and playing golf. I love to watch Tiger football and Cardinal baseball. I’ve been asked why I never moved back to Louisiana where my family still resides. That answer is simple; I love St. Francois County! My children were raised here. My career has been here. This is my home!
